I attended my first Iyengar Yoga class in 1997 and, I quickly came to experience the practice as a tangible method for bringing more peace, clarity, and wholeness into everyday life.
With the encouragement of my teachers, I began to teach in the Iyengar tradition in 1998. Over the years I have studied with many Senior Iyengar Yoga Teachers, all of whom have been direct and devoted students of BKS Iyengar, including the incomparable Geeta S. Iyengar.
Along with my Iyengar Yoga studies, I have undertaken formal study of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra, Classical Sanskrit Grammar, Ayurveda, and Vedic Cosmology.
I seek to support each of my student's individual journey toward greater joy, confidence, and skill in their own personal practice. My classes are rooted in the classical teachings, particularly which centres on going deeper into the subtle awareness of the Self.
“Yoga is a mirror to look at ourselves from within.”
— BKS Iyengar
